Many thyroid conditions have been and continue to be incorrectly diagnosed through exclusive use of TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) testing as the sole signifier of possible thyroid dysfunction. Unfortunately, TSH is wrongly considered by the majority of endocrinologists and many other physicians to be the only indicator required to produce an accurate and comprehensive analysis of one’s thyroid health. Because of this many people come away from their physicians as being misdiagnosed or having their thyroid condition completely disregarded. Download the National Academy of Hypothyroidism's recommended lab tests and take them to your doctor!
Hi, my name is Iris and I’m new here. I was wondering if anyone here has done any research on this. I am hypothyroid because I was hyper and they gave me radioactive iodine to destroy the gland so now I have to be on synthroid forever. Lately I’ve been eating a lot of healthy foods and just found out that a lot of those healthy food I’m not supposed to eat.
I jut found out that any foods in the brassica family interfere with the effects of synthroid. Has anyone else done any research into this. And if so what are you eating in place of brassica family foods.
Check out “goiterogenic” food.
Also, at least 80% of people on single synthetic thyroid hormone replacement recognize that they are not restored.
Do you feel as well now as before the radio-iodine “cure”?
