Hey, my mother is having thyroid cancer and we were not able to find the actual cause behind this condition. I have heard that heredity can be an important factor when it comes to the case of cancer. We have no history of cancer in our family. My mother had to undergo dental x-rays when she met with an accident. She had to do it almost every month as she had regular dental problems after the accident. My aunt said that frequent dental x-rays can cause thyroid cancer. I was researching on this topic and came across a blog ( https://www.dawsondental.ca/blog/dentist-visits/do-dental-x-rays-lead-to-thyroid-cancer/ ) which explains in detail about the link between dental x-rays and thyroid cancer. But, the blog states that there is no proven evidence that dental x-rays can lead to thyroid cancer.
Can anyone explain in detail about those lifestyle habits that can cause thyroid cancer?
